Admission to Saint Mary’s Academy is granted with a definite understanding that the student and his/her parents or guardians agree in writing to comply with the scholastic standards of the school and its rules and regulations.
The school reserves the right to refuse admission due to the following: very poor scholastic performance as reflected in the student report card very low in the entrance examination, oral and written, as maybe administered by the school.
The school also reserves the right whenever necessary and expedient, to treat violations of the school rules and regulations in accordance with the Christian system of discipline and guidance. The right to dismiss any student/pupil due to conduct unbecoming of a Marian is likewise reserved to the school authorities.
1. New Students and Transferees
Admission to the Basic Education Department depends on the credentials presented, examination results and interview of the applicant.
2. Requirements for Admission
Photocopy of Birth and Baptismal Certificates
Form 138- Report Card ( except for incoming Kinder 1)
Letter of Recommendation from the school last attended regarding character and co-curricular involvement.
Two pieces of 1 x 1 ID pictures
3. Other Requirements for Admission
Age Requirement:
Junior Kinder – At least 4 years old by June of the School Year.
Senior Kinder – At least 5 years old by June of the School Year.
Grade 1 – At least 6 years old by June of the School Year
A. A new student whose transcript of records does not arrive before the end of the September will be dropped from the roll.
B. Students dismissed for valid reasons from other schools are not admitted.
C. Transferees with back subjects are not accepted.
• The school reserves the right to screen the applicants based on their general average.
4. Re-admission
Re-admission applies to all pupils/students who have met the norms and the standards of the school.
Students who are recommended by the board of discipline to be admitted only on probation must seek re-admission upon proper representation of both parents and students concerned from the Office of the Principal.
Students who have been previously recommended for transfer due to misconduct will not be re-admitted.
Students who are retained for two consecutive years will not be re-admitted.
